Advert symbols

When you are using the online property search facility you will see that the system uses a number of symbols to identify certain facilities or restrictions on a property. An explanation of the symbols used within  adverts is set out below:

Advert Types

	Choice based lettings property -  Rented property for eligible people on the housing register.
	Mutual exchange property - Mutual exchange property for eligible current council or housing association tenants
	Shared ownership property  - A property for people who may be able to buy a part share in a property
	Private sector property - Any approved property available from a private landlord available to anyone.

Advert Symbols

	Gold Band Applicants Only  Or Preference may be given to Gold Band Applicants only
	Silver Band Applicants Only  Or Preference may be given to Silver Band Applicants only
	Bronze Band Applicants Only   Or Preference may be given to Bronze Band Applicants only
	Property has an enclosed garden
	Property does NOT allow pets
	Property has off street parking
	The number of bedrooms in the property
	Minimum Age of Applicants allowed to bid for property
	Maximum Age of Applicants allowed to bid for property
	Property is wheelchair adapted
	Preference may be given to those needing  Supported Housing
	Preference may be given to those needing sheltered housing
	Preference may be given to transfer applicants only
	Property has a ground floor WC
	Preference may be given to applicants with mobility and medical needs
	Preference may be given to those needing move on supported housing
	Property has a shower only
	Preference may be given to homeless duty applicants only
	Property is being advertised at an affordable rent which may be up to 80% of market rents
	Property is being let with a fixed term tenancy  shown in numbers of years
	Property is being advertised with preference to applicants with a local connection to the area.
