| Welcome to Homefinder Somerset - this is the new way of finding a home to rent within Somerset that lets you select the homes you would like to be considered for. In order to be able to participate in this scheme you need to be registered for social housing. |
We are a partnership of local authorities and housing associations working together to make the process of finding a home simple and transparent for all applicants looking for housing in Somerset. If you are looking for social housing anywhere in Somerset you now only have to complete one application form and your needs will be assessed against the same clear set of criteria no matter where you live. You will then be able to use our Choice Based Lettings service to apply for homes that you are interested in. Almost anyone can apply to join the scheme including existing tenants who would like to transfer.

Sedgemoor District Council are having an Affordable Housing open Day on the 16th July 2009. The event starts at 4.00pm and is being held at the Regional Rural Business Centre just off junction 24 of ther M5. More details can be found here.

Please note that you cannot search and bid for CBL properties on a Monday or Tuesday of any given advertising cycle. All advertising cycles start on a Wednesday and end on a Sunday.
